Trip Introduction

This Peak trek is very demanding due to its autonomy and commitment. It has relatively long stages with several overnight stays at over 4000m and numerous passes over 4500m including one at 6100m the saribung pass. Saribung is an exceptional glacial crossing of Damodar Himal range.Saribung Trek can be done in anti-clockwise for which the trek start from Phu and then ascend to Saribung pass and enter in the Mustang “Hidden Valley” and return to Jomsom or clockwise for which the trek start from Jomsom and follow Upper Mustang trail and descend to Nar-Phu valley and end at Besisahar.Saribung pass is situated to the north of Mustang region of Damodar Himal, the last frontiers close to the border of China (Tibet).

SHREE ADVENTURE CLUB proposes its Saribung pass trek with Saribung Peak summit in the wilderness, hidden kingdom of Mustang, Travers the high pass of Phu Himal and Damodar Himal. This Peak trek therefore requires good endurance. The lodges are an existing one in the second part of the trek, we sleep in tents, and we wash in the rivers. The ascent of Saribung Peak at 6330m isoptional.

During this trek, the route involve of breathtaking scenery of the wild and isolated region of Mustang valley. Which consist of eroded canyons, typical Tibetan villages, Buddhist Gompas (monasteries), cave monasteries in the cliffs and old cave settlements, Furthermore the view of massive Dhaulagiri (8167m), peak Tilicho, Nilgiri and Tukuche are outstanding. A relaxing stay at Pokhara with the view of massif Annapurna range will be worth after a trek.

These high treks have to be done in this season mid-august to mid-November.
