Trip Introduction

Khopra Ridge trek is one of the recently opened trekking routes in Annapurna region and connects to Annapurna base camp, separate trek route from Tadapani to Khopra Hill or you can also say Khayer lake trek. You go through the Rhododendron forest, Himalaya Bamboo to enter an authentic region, the southern slope of the Annapurnas and to have the magnificent panorama of the Himalayas which includes Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna (I, II, III and south), Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhare, Lamjung Himal and Nilgiri. Every year very few people know about this trekking trail, it is perfect for those who want to walk to the non-touristy corner in the Annapurna region.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Kathmandu: Arrive and meet at the airport and then transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 2

    Free day in Kathmandu, preparation of the trek.

  • Day 3

    By Plane: Kathmandu/Pokhara/Birethanti.35min by flight (2h, 1220m).

  • Day 4

    Birethanti - Ghandruk. (4 h, 1950m)

  • Day 5

    Ghandruk-Tadapani (4h, 2560m).

  • Day 6

    Tadapani-Bayeli Kharka (6h 30 m, 3420m).

  • Day 7

    Bayeli Kharka -Khopra Ridge: (7h, 3660m).

  • Day 8

    Day of excursion to Lake Khayer (7h, 3660m).

  • Day 9

    Khopra Ridge-Swanta (5h 30 min, 2270m).

  • Day 10

    Swanta-Ulleri (5h 30 min, 2020m).

  • Day 11

    Ulleri-Birethanti-Pokhara (4h 30 min, drive to Pkr 2h)

  • Day 12

    By Bus: Pokhara-Kathmandu (6h)

Any interrupted or shortened trip, any change of program at the request of the participants (accident, illness, mountain sickness, early return to abbreviated trek, etc.) will not give rise to any reimbursement.

The costs caused by exceptional events (cut road, landslide, bad weather conditions, snow …..) which cannot be foreseen and the associated expenses
