Trip Introduction

The Everest base camp trek through 3 passes above 5000 meters (Renjo-la (5370m), Cho-la pass (5230m) and Kongm –la (5535m)) is a wonderful challenging high trek. This trek is a little more physical than the classic Everest base camp circuit and is therefore reserved for well-trained people with experience of walking at altitude. It is the land of the Sherpas surrounded by many peaks over 8000m, such as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Cho-oyu, etc. This culturally rich region Sherpa, Buddhist, Tibetan etc…

ImjaTse, better known as Island Peak, is a mountain in Sagarmatha National Park was named Island peak in 1953 by members of British Mount Everest expedition because it appears as an Island in a sea of Ice when viewed from Dingboche. To climb Island Peak, one has option of starting from basecamp at 5087m starting the climb between 2 and 3 A.M. Another popular option is to ascend to High camp at around 5600m to reduce the amount of effort and time needed for summit day. Island peak is one of the easy climbing peaks in Khumbu valley.

Whether below 4000m or above 5000m, there will be wonder and adventure at every step!
