Trip Introduction

A completely new Trek!

A trek that will also take us from mid-mountain villages to the Tibetan villages of Naar and Phu. By going through the classic Annapurna tour, we will have just enough time to understand the world that separates the classic route from the wild loop that we are doing.

The passage to Tilicho Lake will also be an unforgettable moment of our trip: at the foot of this face, the definitely alpine atmosphere of the camp with perfect acclimatization will take us back to the time of Himalayan exploration. It is precisely here that the French came in 1950 to understand the access to Annapurna.

If the famous Annapurna tour today concentrates most of the walkers in the region, it is indeed by a completely different route that we understand the massif. Thus, we voluntarily leave the lower valley of the Marsyangdi, to climb, straight away, to the heights of the Namun La pass (4,900 m), very rarely traveled. From this wonderful balcony overlooking the Manaslu and the Himal Chuli, we reach the valley to discover villages that have remained off tourist routes: Naar and Phu, with different atmospheres.

Then comes the second pass of the route, even higher than the first: Kang La (5,310 m) faces the Annapurna range, one of the most beautiful panoramas in all of Nepal. The last part of the route takes place at the foot of these giants. Departing from Manang, it is obviously by the wildest route that our steps take us, towards the altitude lake of Tilicho, and the last pass of the route, the North Mesokonta (5,430 m), before the final descent to the Kali Gandaki, at the borders of Mustang.
